Vermiculite Coated Fiberglass Cloth
Description
Vermiculite-coated fiberglass cloth is a specialized composite material that combines the heat resistance and durability of fiberglass with the thermal insulation properties of vermiculite.
Vermiculite is a natural mineral that expands when heated, creating a lightweight, insulating layer. It is coated onto the fiberglass cloth to enhance its thermal insulation properties.

Properties
>>Heat Resistance: The vermiculite coating significantly improves the heat resistance of the fiberglass cloth, allowing it to withstand high temperatures—often up to 1,000°C (1,832°F) or higher.
>>Thermal Insulation: Vermiculite provides excellent thermal insulation, helping to prevent heat transfer and protect underlying surfaces from extreme temperatures.
>>Durability: The fiberglass base material offers mechanical strength and durability, while the vermiculite coating enhances the cloth’s ability to handle intense heat without degradation.
>>Fire Resistance: Both the fiberglass and vermiculite are non-flammable, making the composite material highly resistant to fire.
>>Chemical Resistance: The fiberglass component is resistant to many chemicals, and the vermiculite coating adds additional resistance to certain chemicals and corrosive substances.
